A basic taxonomy for seeds
There are several different kinds of seeds in the collection, each with their own scarcity and unique appeal:
🔳 100 x Archetype seeds
The only seeds with just one layer.
Their seed numbers are the first 100 values in base 2 (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, etc).
🔲 505 x Rare seeds
"Rare seeds" have unique, locked base seed numbers that cannot be changed or used by other seed inscriptions, including the 100 archetype seeds.
The seed numbers that were selected to be locked are numbers that have significant inherent appeal, particularly within the context of the SEEDS artwork.
Rare seeds include seed numbers such as numbers 1-100, every possible angel number, numbers that correspond to basic symmetrical patterns on the artwork's 10x10 layer grid, and some meme numbers.

⬛ ??? x dxxmsdxy seeds
Hand-set by the artist.
An opportunity for the artist to express themselves through the artwork, dxxmsdxy seeds can be chosen for many reasons, from their aesthetic and thematic qualities, or in response to a prompt from their recipient.
They are not locked and can be set by their holders, overwriting their appearance. The child incarnation recording the dxxmsdxy seed's artwork is unaffected.
⬜ Blank seeds
Unset seeds, ready to be set by their holders.
Blank seeds are a pristine creative canvas; an open invitation to express oneself through the artwork, or influence external systems that integrate SEEDS.
