🧮How to Set
The basics
Holders of seed inscriptions can update their seed's appearance by setting it with a new seed number.
Setting a seed is simple: just inscribe a properly formatted seed number as a child of the seed inscription.
The result of setting a seed:
The original seed inscription's appearance will update to reflect the new seed number.
A new inscription will be created containing only the seed number text (called an "incarnation") .

Generating a seed number
Before you can set a seed, you need to decide what seed number you will use.
It is recommended to visit the SEEDS web app—or open any seed inscription in the browser—and use SEEDS' purpose-built Editor UI to generate your seed number.
Inscribing a seed number
To set a seed, simply inscribe a properly-formatted seed number as the text content of a new child inscription that is parented by the seed.
⚙ Re-inscription (Optional) - Re-inscribe the seed number text on the parent seed's sat if you wish to link the ownership of the two inscriptions.
⚙ Delegation (Optional) - Delegate the child incarnation's content to its parent to give the incarnation inscription a visual when viewed in wallets, ordinal explorers, and browsers.
⚙ Batching (Optional) - Inscription transactions can be batched, inscribing multiple incarnations at once.
